Great to meet you!

Hey there. I'm Cecil Davison and I am the lead clinician at Restorative Roots Counseling Center. I've been practicing for more than 11 years. I specialize in working with children, teen, families, and adults. I also provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

My approach to therapy

There is no such thing as the perfect therapist or the perfect client. The therapeutic relationship must be unique to the individuals involved - that is where healing lives. "Anxiety." "Depression." "PTSD." "ADHD." "OCD." "Trauma." These terms have become part of our regular vocabulary without many of us truly understanding their effects on our lives. I use various modalities to help shift your focus from the above buzzwords to the practice of hope, healing, self-care, self-respect, and change.

What you can expect from me

I am what is called an "Adlerian" therapist. That means that my approach is comfortable and casual, not formal. I don't follow a script. Our alliance creates trust. That trust leads to healing and a path forward towards your therapeutic goals. My aim is to help you gain insight into how you think and act to create healthy habits, break harmful cycles, and help with reorientation.
