Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health therapist with training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and practical, helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while focusing on meaningful, achievable change.

I have experience working with individuals impacted by domestic violence, anger management concerns, parenting challenges, and relationship difficulties. I also support clients navigating depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem issues, adjustment concerns, and divorce. In therapy, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to build effective coping skills and strengthen their sense of resilience. I am also able to work with additional concerns not listed here and welcome clients with diverse needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based. I work to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected. I believe therapy is most effective when it is tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and life experiences.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills for managing challenges. I also focus on recognizing clients’ strengths and what is already working, while supporting them in making meaningful and sustainable changes.

I work with clients facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, adjustment difficulties, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, anger management, domestic violence, and divorce. I remain flexible in my approach and can address additional concerns as they arise, ensuring treatment is responsive and aligned with each client’s goals.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where we focus on getting to know one another and understanding what brings them to therapy. I take time to learn about clients’ concerns, goals, and background, while also answering any questions they may have about the therapy process.

Together, we will begin identifying treatment goals and discussing what clients hope to gain from therapy. I may introduce elements of CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy, such as exploring current challenges, identifying strengths, and discussing practical coping strategies that can be helpful right away. There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable, and sessions move at a pace that feels safe and respectful.

By the end of the first session, clients can expect to leave with a clearer understanding of how therapy can support them, an initial sense of direction, and a plan for next steps moving forward.
