Great to meet you!

Welcome, my name is Cecilia. I received my undergraduate degree from Marist College and received my Masters in Social Work from New York University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a little over eight years of experience working in behavioral health, crisis intervention, trauma, and victim services. My clinical work has specialized in trauma therapy, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, while also incorporating inclusive and holistic approaches that support nervous system regulation and overall well being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a safe, supportive space that feels like a sanctuary—where clients can show up as they are, without judgment, and feel truly seen and heard. I practice from a trauma-informed, client-centered lens, recognizing that each person’s experiences, needs, and healing process are unique.

I believe in empowering clients by helping them reconnect with their own strengths, resilience, and sense of self. My work is strengths-based and focused on supporting self-awareness, self-autonomy, and confidence in daily life. I also incorporate mind-body awareness, recognizing the connection between emotional well-being and nervous system regulation, and helping clients build tools to feel more grounded and balanced.

Inclusivity and affirmation are at the core of my practice. I strive to create a space where all individuals feel respected, supported, and safe to explore their experiences. My intention is to help clients heal, process, rebuild, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to feel welcoming, supportive, and free of judgement. The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, explore what brings you to therapy, expectations of the therapeutic process, identifying the roles of the collaboration process, and begin identifying the areas of growth that feel most important to you. Together we will discuss your personal history, current stressors, and how healing and progress is measured for you. I also try to focus on helping clients feel grounded and understood from the very beginning, while building trust and a strong therapeutic connection. All while I continue to foster your sense of autonomy and feeling in control of a pace suitable for you.
