Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas with a master's degree in education and counseling and a background in education, music and theatre. I value creating an authentic connection with my clients and creating a warm, judgement free space for you to be completely yourself. I work with individuals on a variety of challenges including anxiety, stress management, motherhood, men's issues, grief counseling and more. I am also a Gottman Level 3 trained couple's therapist who has extensive background and knowledge in helping couple's repair and renew their relationship. I offer pre-marital counseling as well as discernment therapy. Clients say I am down to earth, accepting and real.

My approach to therapy

I use several different approaches to therapy depending on what your goals are. For relationships/couple's therapy, I use Gottman Method, a scientific and evidenced based method for relationship repair. For individuals, I often use cognitive behavioral therapy (examining thoughts, beliefs and actions), internal family systems (discussing parts of ourselves and how they impact our lives), narrative therapy (understanding your unique story), creative arts (using art to heal), and several more. I spend time in the first session understanding your goals and then we decide the best therapeutic approach for getting you there.

What you can expect from me

After our first session together, you will leave feeling lighter. You will have felt heard, validated and understood. You will walk out of my office with HOPE for your future and your circumstances. You see, everything you need for lasting change is already inside of you. I see my job as the person who walks alongside you and helps you uncover what you already have. I have had so many clients express gratitude for the changes they have seen in a short amount of time. It is such an honor to help people walk through difficult times.

On a sidenote, my own life has been anything but perfect. I have faced my own fair share of heartbreaks, disappointments and life punches like anyone else. I understand what anxiety feels like. I know the load of motherhood. I know the pain of relationships lost. This is why I became a therapist. Because I never want anyone to feel alone or have to walk through hardship alone. You are an overcomer. Let me show you how.
