Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Celeste Haynes, and I am especially eager to walk alongside people whose work places them close to crisis, trauma, and the daily needs of their communities. I welcome opportunities to support police officers, firefighters, emergency room personnel, 911 operators, street and sanitation workers, and other first responders and essential workers. I recognize that demanding emotional labor can affect personal well-being, family life, and relationships long after a shift ends. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor, board-certified life coach, board-certified telemental health counselor, and crisis counseling certified professional. I am a Christian counselor, minister, and elder who holds a Doctor of Ministry degree. My work brings together clinical counseling, practical guidance, and a faith-informed commitment to caring for the whole person.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy begins with being heard. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s experiences, strengths, and goals. Whether someone is carrying the effects of trauma, managing stress or anger, facing relationship difficulties, or adjusting to a challenging situation, I work with individuals to understand what is happening and identify a practical way forward. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients notice how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we can examine patterns that may be adding to distress, consider more helpful perspectives, and practice skills that support change in everyday life. I also use a solution-oriented approach that builds on what is already working.

What you can expect from me

We set meaningful, manageable goals and recognize progress, including the small steps that can make life feel steadier and more hopeful.

I engage in walking alongside people who serve their communities under pressure, including police officers, firefighters, clergy, politicians, political staff, emergency room staff, 911 operators, and other first responders. I understand that demanding emotional labor can affect life outside the workplace, too.

My aim is to offer a supportive space to address those concerns without judgment and develop tools that fit each person’s circumstances. As a Christian counselor and minister, I can also make space for prayer, faith, and spiritual reflection when a client WISHES to include them. I am honored to share the journey as clients discover their strengths, make thoughtful choices, and move toward healing and lasting change.
