Great to meet you!

If you're carrying anger that feels bigger than the moment that triggered it, anxiety that keeps your body on alert long after the event has passed, or the quiet exhaustion of navigating a world that doesn't always understand your culture or identity, you don't have to sort through it alone. I work with people untangling family conflict, racial and cultural stress, that shows up as distraction, irritability, or difficulty focusing.

My approach to therapy

I keep sessions warm and open. You won't get a clinician sitting back taking notes, you'll get someone in the conversation with you. A lot of our work will start with figuring out what you actually want to change and why it matters to you, rather than me telling you what should matter. From there we'll use practical tools to interrupt the thought patterns that keep you stuck, and short-term, focused work when you want to move on something specific rather than dig through everything at once.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just a conversation. I want to hear, in your own words, why you're here and what's been going on, no forms to fill out in your head, no pressure to have it all figured out. It's normal to feel a little nervous walking in, most people do. We'll spend the time exploring what brought you to therapy now and what you're hoping is different on the other side of it, so we can start building a plan around what actually matters to you.
