Dr. Celeste Rivera

As a multilingual clinical psychologist (native Spanish speaker) and certified coach who has worked in hospitals and private settings, I have had the opportunity to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds that are dealing with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I work with adults and couples.

In my practice, I work from a holistic perspective since I believe that to understand and resolve the problems that lead us to seek therapy it is essential to take into account the physical, psychological, emotional, and social dimensions of the difficulties we are experiencing. I have training in psychodynamic therapies, CBT, CPT, psychodrama and mindfulness based approaches to treatment. I am also a certified coach.

I am an active and engaged therapist who will help you focus in defining the goals that you have for your therapy and help you chart the path to take so those goals can become your reality. Often I give my clients suggestions and homework (i.e. readings, podcasts, videos and action steps) that can enhance the work we do in therapy.
