Great to meet you!

I’m Celia Knott, LPCC, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also have specialized training in trauma, mood disorders, depression/anxiety & addiction.

My experience includes supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, major life transitions trauma & addiction.. I take a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy and believe that each person deserves a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space to explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.

My goal is to meet clients where they are and help them develop practical tools, greater self-awareness, and confidence as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether you are healing from past experiences, struggling with relationships or boundaries, working through a major transition, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a meaningful step toward creating the life you want.

It is a privilege to support clients through their journey, and I look forward to creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a safe, judgment-free space where you can be open and honest about what you are experiencing while feeling heard, respected, and supported.

I take a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, recognizing that your experiences, relationships, environment, and past challenges all play a role in how you navigate life today. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with each client to understand their unique needs, identify patterns that may be holding them back, and develop practical strategies for creating meaningful change.

I also believe therapy should be both supportive and purposeful. We will work together to establish goals, build on your strengths, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen boundaries and relationships, and help you feel more confident in managing life’s challenges. My goal is to walk alongside you—not tell you how to live your life—while providing the guidance, tools, and support you need to move forward.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brought you to therapy, and exploring the concerns or challenges you would like to address.

I’ll ask questions about your current experiences, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals so I can better understand the full picture—not just the problem that brought you in. We’ll also talk about what you hope to gain from therapy and begin identifying areas we can work on together.

Most importantly, there is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share anything before you’re ready. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the process. Therapy is a partnership, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and productive for you.
