Great to meet you!

I use a holistic approach to supporting individuals with eating disorders, recognizing the important connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Drawing from experience working with eating disorder recovery, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and somatic skills to help clients develop greater awareness of their emotions, physical sensations, thoughts, and behaviors. Through these approaches, clients can learn to regulate emotions, increase body awareness, build self-compassion, and develop healthier coping strategies. My goal is to create a safe, supportive connection that honors the whole person and encourages healing, empowerment, and a more balanced relationship with oneself and one's body.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, holistic, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and connected. I work collaboratively with clients to explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the body, while honoring each person's unique experiences and strengths. Drawing from DBT, somatic approaches, and other evidence-based practices, 1 help clients develop practical skills for emotional regulation, self-awareness, distress tolerance, and self-compassion. I strive to create a supportive space where clients can slow down, listen to their bodies, better understand their inner experiences, and build a stronger connection between mind, body, and spirit.

My goal is to empower clients to develop lasting skills, deepen their sense of self, and move toward greater balance, authenticity, and overall well being.

What you can expect from me

During your first therapy session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where we begin getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, personal history, goals, strengths, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what feels comfortable, and learn more about how I approach therapy. Together, we will begin identifying areas you would like to work on and develop a treatment approach that feels supportive and aligned with your needs. You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session-this is simply the beginning of building a trusting therapeutic relationship and creating a space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.
