Great to meet you!

Hi, it’s nice to meet you. My name is Celina Canales, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Over the years, I’ve worked with clients from many different backgrounds and life experiences, and I'm currently working with women who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or caught in the pressure to be everything to everyone. You may be moving through a life transition, questioning who you are or what you want, struggling with self-doubt or perfectionism, or simply sensing that something in your life needs to change. I’m especially drawn to helping women reconnect with themselves, trust their own voice, and explore what feels true for them beyond the roles, expectations, or patterns they’ve been living.

My approach to therapy

Therapy, to me, is most impactful when you feel safe enough to be yourself and curious enough to explore what may be underneath what you’re experiencing. My approach is integrative, experiential, and whole-person. We may look at past experiences and recurring patterns, but I’m also interested in how those experiences are showing up in your life now — in your emotions, relationships, body, choices, and the ways you understand yourself. I may share what I notice, ask questions that help us go a little deeper, offer practical tools, or invite you to experience something in a different way rather than only talk about it. Depending on what is meaningful, we may also work with imagery, dreams, symbolism, creativity, or other ways your inner experience makes itself known.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is helping you feel safe and comfortable enough to begin sharing what brings you in and what feels most important right now. My clients often tell me they feel seen and heard in our work together, and I hope you begin to experience that sense of warmth and acceptance from the start. As we talk, I’ll be getting to know you, how you experience yourself, your relationships, and what may be feeling stuck or unsettled. By the end of our time together, I hope you feel a sense of connection, greater clarity about what you want from therapy, and a beginning sense of how we might work together toward meaningful change.
