Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Celisa. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) based in the great state of Ohio (Go Bucks!!). With approximately 11 years of experience as a practicing therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. I graduated with my Master's in Social Work from The Ohio State University, focusing on co-occurring disorders. My primary work is with adolescents, and I specialize in anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma, self-esteem, psychosis, and supporting kids on the Autism spectrum.

My therapeutic philosophy is centered around an eclectic approach, tailored to meet each client's unique needs. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBT-P), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), talk therapy, and motivational interviewing. This diverse toolkit allows me to adapt our sessions to what works best for you, ensuring a personalized and effective therapeutic experience.

Outside of my professional life, I am an avid animal lover. I share my home with four dogs and nine cats, and I also foster animals in need of healing before they find their forever homes. Music is another passion of mine; it serves as an escape and a means to support my own mental health. I also enjoy movies, especially horror films, and I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, both the books and the movies.

I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other challenges, I'm here to help you navigate through them. Let's work together to find the path that leads to your healing and growth. If you're ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out and start this journey with me.
