Great to meet you!

My name is Chad Angell, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I specialize in working with adults who are navigating the challenges of addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression. My professional background is rooted in inpatient and outpatient treatment work for addiction and mental health, with degrees in Psychology, Addictive Disorders, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am passionate about this work because I fundamentally believe in our human capacity for growth and change. It’s my core belief that every person deserves the dignity of building their best self, and I consider it a privilege to be part of that process.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, collaborative, and solution-oriented. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model; instead, I integrate strategies from multiple effective therapies to create a plan tailored specifically to you. I often use powerful, body-based (somatic) techniques and EMDR to help resolve the physiological impact of stress and trauma. At the same time, I incorporate proven cognitive therapies like CBT, ACT, and REBT. This allows us to work together to identify and challenge the unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back, providing you with concrete tools to move forward.

What you can expect from me

From our very first sessions, my goal is empower with a sense of direction and practical skills you can apply immediately. Clients can expect me to be an honest, direct, and engaged partner in this process. Together, we will create a clear plan of action that focuses on solutions, not just on problems. The ultimate takeaway is progress—our work is designed to efficiently break down the barriers to healing so you can achieve your goals and build a meaningful life.
