Great to meet you!

I have been working in the helping profession for more than twenty years in a variety of capacities. During this time I’ve had the honor of working with at risk youth, foster families, college students, people experiencing grief and loss, families in crises, and victims of abuse. These experiences have taken place in various settings; private, faith based, and secular in nature.

My educational background includes a B.A. in Philosophy from Spring Arbor University and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College and Theological Seminary. I have licensure as an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in the state of Indiana. As part of my passion for working with people who have experienced trauma I am trained in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based method of treatment found to be very helpful for trauma survivors.

My approach to therapy

I truly enjoy meeting people right where they are and walking with them from despair to hope, pain to freedom, self reproach to self acceptance, and from victim to survivor. There are times in life when all of us are confronted with our limits and need a place to get beyond, work through, or perhaps embrace them.

What you can expect from me

I will be passionate and hopeful as we work together towards your personal growth, freedom, and strong interpersonal relationships.
