Great to meet you!

If you've been carrying something heavy for a long time, whether that's past trauma, depression that won't lift, anxiety that's hard to shake, or a complicated family dynamic, you're not alone. I work with adolescents (13 and up) and adults navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and the kinds of life experiences that don't fit into a tidy box. After 15 years running a community clinic, I've sat with just about every story a person can bring into a room. There's nothing you need to soften before walking through the door. Outside of session, I spend most of my time with my wife and 2 daughters.

My approach to therapy

My style is calm, warm, and honest. I'm not here to tell you what to do or hand you advice. I'm here to come alongside you and help you figure out what you actually want, what's been getting in the way, and what's worth changing. Motivational Interviewing is the foundation of how I work, and I bring in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when we're targeting specific symptoms like depression. I'm comfortable being direct and naming the hard stuff, but you'll never feel like I'm working against you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask what brought you in, what's been going on in your life, and what you're hoping therapy can do for you. There's no script to follow and no right way to answer. If you're not sure where to start, that's okay, we'll find it together. By the end of the hour, you should leave with a clearer sense of whether we're a good fit and what working together could look like,
