Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Chamin!

I bring over 25 years of experience to my work with individuals, couples, and groups, helping them move from feeling overwhelmed to truly empowered. My expertise has led to regular media contributions on platforms like The TODAY Show and CBS Sunday Morning, and I am the author of Seeking Soulmate: Ditch the Dating Game and Find Real Connection. I founded Chamin Ajjan Psychotherapy to provide a warm, welcoming, and supportive space where clinical excellence meets compassionate care and a little pop culture when I can throw it in. I am dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges with a collaboration rooted in deep experience and practical, effective tools.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is active, collaborative, deeply supportive, creative and, at times, humorous. As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, I provide a safe, specialized space to explore sexual health, and relationship challenges with confidence. I work to help you identify and shift the 'stuck points' and helpful behaviors that hold you back. Whether I’m working with an individual, a couple, or leading a specialized trauma-informed group, my focus is on providing a culturally sensitive environment where we work together to turn clinical insights into lasting, real-world change.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, our primary goal is to get to know you in a comfortable and conversational way so we create a non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to share your story. We will explore what brought you to therapy and begin identifying specific goals such as improving intimacy, managing anxiety, or healing from trauma. You can expect to leave with a clear sense of our collaborative process and an initial roadmap for your journey. Whether working with me or my hand-picked staff, you will walk away feeling understood and equipped with a professional partner dedicated to your growth.
