Great to meet you!

Searching for the right therapist? Don't settle for just help...get top-notch help from an experienced professional! I am excited to explore with you how to reach your goals and start on the path to leading the life that you desire. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas with thirty years in the field. I graduated from Texas State University with a Master of Arts in Community Counseling with a focus in individual counseling and marriage & family therapy. I am also a certified Master Level Practitioner of NLP (the roots of EMDR). I take the privilege of serving clients seriously and strive to provide a safe environment where any issue can be discussed openly focusing on healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Please know ALL my availability is not posted so if none of the options work for you, feel free to reach out to me at 512-655-3317 to determine alternative session times (including EVENING options) or book what is available and then message me on the platform to request other options.

If you know you want to work with me and I have no current availability and your need is not emergent, I do offer a waiting list at client's request; just let me know you'd like to be added to the waiting list and I will work you into my schedule as soon as possible.

My approach to therapy

With my array of experience in community mental health, non-profits, crisis intervention, and speciality working with trauma, specifically sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, family violence, military, and crime victims, I have worked with a variety of issues and diagnosis. The primary focus of my practice includes individuals struggling with trauma, ptsd, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, bipolar disorder, adults with Austism Spectrum Disorder who are high functioning (whether formally diagnosed or not), and family conflict/relationship issues. I provide telehealth therapy to clients as young as seven years old with sensitivity to any cultural, ethnic, religious, or racial background. If for some reason we discover I'm not a good fit for you, I will joyfully help you find someone to meet your needs! Ultimately, my practice aims to help clients heal from past issues, grow, and discover aspects of themselves in order to utilize all their strengths to live their best life.

What you can expect from me

When I first meet with a someone new, I approach the session from a person-centered modality of therapy, listening, getting to know the person, and building a safe and trusting environment where they can be all of who they are without judgment. From this place, I assist in determining what they want out of life and how we can work together to help overcome current problems and achieve personal goals and well-formed outcomes. I offer a flexible and broad approach to treatment including a variety of therapeutic techniques such as neuro-linguistic (NLP), cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, gestalt and family systems techniques, among others. My overall approach is integrative and follows the lead of the client based on their goals, outcomes, and comfort. Since all humans are different, I do not follow a cookie cutter approach to therapy, and offer support, guidance, and interventions to aid you in cultivating a life where you can heal from past issues, grow to your fullest potential, and discover new aspects of yourself to utilize in your personal and professional life.
