Great to meet you!

Hello! We don't know each other yet, but I am so glad you are here! I know how difficult it can be to seek support, but you have taken the first step and I am excited for you and your healing journey. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over ten years of experience and I am looking forward to getting to you know.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I do not believe counseling is one-size-fits-all. I do not work from one therapeutic model, but draw on several, which provides you with the most effective treatment approach. I work collaboratively with my clients. I believe you are the expert on yourself. With that said, I will still challenge behaviors and thinking patterns that work against your goals. Sometimes we are in our own way, and we will work to abolish habits and patterns that keep you stuck.

What you can expect from our first session

Finding the right counselor match is important so in the first sessions I will want to hear about what brings you to counseling, what your current goals are (if you don't know that is okay- we can work on identifying that together), and begin to hear your story. I strive to create a safe and warm environment that encourages trust and vulnerability. I understand that vulnerability and trust are hard and take time.
