Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist and a Licensed Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor specializing primarily in DBT, trauma therapy, ACT, and substance use disorders / dual diagnosis. I've practiced in the substance use disorder field since 2015, and later completed my MSW in 2020. My background includes working with a diverse variation of individuals struggling with suicidality, parasuicidality, trauma, BPD, anxiety, depression, substance use and other addictions, domestic violence, anger management, OCD, and disordered eating. I also have worked with relational issues, including family therapy, couples therapy, and parent coaching with DBT-informed strategies.

My approach to therapy

"I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless. I will not fix you, for you are not broken. I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light." -These words sum up my clinical approach and view of therapy.

My goal is to be supportive, promote problem solving and collaboration, be flexible enough to address your unique challenges, provide skills to help you navigate your independent challenges more effectively, and work with you towards a path of healing, restored confidence, and hope.

What you can expect from me

A strong emphasis on building connections, including the therapeutic relationship, with each individual as it is crucial for the therapeutic process. You can expect to acquire new skills, explore individual concerns and personal challenges, and move towards improving functionality and independent ability to more effectively navigate your individual goals for improvements in therapy. You can expect to have a clinician show up in a manner that is both direct and caring. You can also expect to set weekly goals, and to have immediate things to work on that will create movement towards longer term change and stability.
