Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Chandra Elizabeth, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I specialize in supporting women through infertility, IVF, and the emotional complexities of the path to parenthood, including those considering or pursuing donor egg or donor embryo conception. I also work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and matrescence—the emotional and identity transformation of becoming a mother.

My work extends beyond motherhood. I support women who want to understand themselves more deeply and feel more connected to who they are, particularly those navigating people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, self-criticism, or a tendency to put others’ needs and opinions ahead of their own.

My work is informed by both my professional training and my personal experience with infertility and postpartum challenges. I feel honored to support women as they navigate these meaningful and often vulnerable periods of growth and change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and compassionate. I draw from Supportive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and somatic awareness, tailoring our work to what feels most helpful for you.

I offer a supportive space where you can feel heard and understood while navigating difficult emotions, relationships, and life transitions. Together, we can slow things down, explore what you’re experiencing with curiosity and compassion, recognize your strengths, and better understand what you need.

Through ACT, we may explore how to make space for difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. We’ll also clarify what matters most to you and work toward choices that feel more aligned with your values, needs, and the life you want to create.

Our work may also include exploring longstanding patterns and how past experiences continue to influence the way you relate to yourself and others. I may incorporate somatic awareness to help you notice and connect with what you are experiencing in your body.

I have additional training in Third Party Reproduction Fertility Counseling, which informs my work with individuals navigating donor conception and other complex paths to parenthood.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you and understand what is bringing you to therapy. We’ll talk about what has been feeling difficult, what feels most important to you right now, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal. I’ll invite you to share at a pace that feels comfortable, and we can begin noticing the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be important to explore.

My intention is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard and understood, with a sense of how we might work together to help you feel more connected to yourself, your needs, and the changes you would like to make in your life.
