Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Channin, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I have a genuine passion for helping people make sense of what they're going through. My background is rooted in understanding how our relationships — with others and with ourselves — shape much of how we feel day to day. I work with individuals and couples across a wide range of life experiences, with a particular love for the relational and emotional territory: attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, identity, self-worth, and the patterns that keep showing up no matter how hard we try to outrun them. Whatever is weighing on you, you don't have to navigate it alone.

My approach to therapy

I work through a relational attachment theory lens — which means I'm deeply curious about how the habits, patterns, and ways of relating to the world you developed earlier in life are showing up for you now. Many of those patterns made complete sense at the time. They were adaptations, ways of surviving and getting your needs met. But what once protected you can sometimes become the very thing that keeps you stuck. Together, we create space to gently reexamine what's still working and what might be ready for a new chapter.

My style is warm and collaborative. I show up as a real person who is genuinely invested in your growth. And because I'm genuinely invested, I will sometimes push back. Not to challenge you for the sake of it, but because simply agreeing with everything you say isn't therapy — it's just a conversation. Real insight often lives just past the comfortable version of the story, and part of my job is to help you get there. We'll move at your pace, build real trust, and do the kind of work that creates lasting change rather than just temporary relief.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about you feeling comfortable and getting a sense of whether we're a good fit — because that matters. I'll ask questions to understand what is bringing you in and what you're hoping for, but I'll also leave plenty of space for you to just talk. There's no pressure to have it all figured out or to arrive with the "right" answers. Most clients leave that first session feeling a quiet sense of relief — like they've finally said out loud something they've been holding for a long time. That's the goal. You should leave feeling heard, and already beginning to understand yourself just a little more clearly.
