I am a licensed clinical social worker with specialized experience working with kids, teens, adults, and families! I have significant experience, and greatly enjoy, working with neurodiverse individuals and those with OCD. I also have a broad range of experience with various other diagnoses. The best thing about my job is getting to meet so many unique individuals!
My approach to therapy is to lead with curiosity and collaboration. You are the expert on your life, your experiences, and your memories. As a therapist, I want to learn from you and use our combined expertise to bring about sustainable change.
Something that I commonly include as an initial goal is to increase one's understanding of their symptomology. In this way, I believe that knowledge is power. For example, many of us gain our understanding of ADHD through outdated portrayals in media or other misinformed sources. Often, even receiving an official diagnosis does not always mean that you are given the information needed to know what that diagnosis looks like for you. I believe that really understanding the how and why of the presentation of your specific symptomology is what lays the groundwork for the ability to develop sustainable supports and lead to long-term change.
