Great to meet you!

As a double board-certified psychiatrist in both Child & Adolescent and General Adult Psychiatry, I’ve been serving individuals and families across Texas since 2019. I completed both my residency and child & adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, where I received comprehensive training in evidence-based, compassionate care.

I specialize in treating ADHD in children as well as a wide range of psychiatric conditions in both kids and adults, including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. My practice is grounded in a deep understanding of the social, cultural, and familial dynamics that shape mental health—particularly in young people. I offer comprehensive care that goes beyond diagnosis and medication, creating personalized treatment plans that honor each patient’s values, beliefs, and lived experiences.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatry is intentional, collaborative, and grounded in a deep understanding of the full person, not just a set of symptoms. I take time to listen carefully and think thoughtfully about your experiences so that our work together is both accurate and meaningful.

I view treatment as a shared process. If medication is part of your care, I will guide you through each option with clarity and transparency, and we will make decisions together in alignment with your goals and values.

At the same time, I believe that lasting change comes from a willingness to engage in deeper self exploration. Patients who are curious about their patterns and open to understanding the underlying roots of their challenges often experience the most meaningful progress. My role is to provide clinical expertise, insight, and direction, while your role is to actively participate in the process and integrate what we uncover into your daily life.

In our work together, I aim to help you make sense of how your past experiences, current environment, and internal patterns may be shaping how you feel. I bring a steady, nonjudgmental presence and a deep respect for your dignity and inherent worth.

For those who value faith or spirituality, I am open to integrating that into care in a thoughtful and supportive way.

You can expect consistency, honesty, and a grounded sense of hope. My goal is not only symptom relief, but helping you develop clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of direction in your life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a comprehensive evaluation focused on gaining a clear and thoughtful understanding of you as a whole person. I will ask in depth questions about your current concerns, personal history, and any factors that may be contributing to what you are experiencing.

This initial meeting is also an opportunity for both of us to assess fit. It is important that you feel comfortable, understood, and aligned with my approach. I welcome your questions and encourage you to share what you are hoping to get out of treatment.

By the end of the session, we will begin forming a working understanding of your concerns and outline initial recommendations for next steps. This may include treatment options, including whether medication could be helpful, as well as areas for further exploration.
