Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Chanveen Taneja. I hold a Master’s in Counseling, and my path to becoming a therapist started at the Crisis Text Line. Helping individuals navigate their darkest hours taught me how to safely hold space for heavy emotions, which is the foundation of my practice today.

Throughout my career, I have specialized in treating anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. I am also deeply passionate about helping clients navigate acculturation clashes, intergenerational differences, and in-law dynamics. Additionally, as an immigrant of 23 years who raised a family in the US, I bring deep, lived experience to my practice. I intimately understand the unique pressure of balancing cultural expectations with your authentic self.

I am committed to continuous learning and hold advanced training in the Gottman Method (Level 1) as well as QHHT hypnotherapy (past-life regression) to give you the most comprehensive care possible.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, holistic, and deeply empowering. I believe in treating the complete well-being of the individual, honoring the connection between your mind, body, and spirit. Because every person is unique, I do not use a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, existential, and narrative modalities to tailor our sessions to your specific needs.

I also extensively utilize the Gottman Method to help clients improve communication, manage conflict, and confidently set boundaries. For clients who are open to deeper spiritual exploration, I offer QHHT hypnotherapy (past-life regression) to unlock the hidden roots of current struggles. My ultimate goal is to provide a validating environment while equipping you with the practical tools necessary to create lasting, everyday change.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for therapy takes courage, so my priority in our first session is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can finally exhale. You can expect a warm and validating environment where we will explore your story, your cultural background, and the specific challenges bringing you in.

During this initial session, we will collaboratively identify your goals—whether that is finding relief from daily anxiety, processing grief, or navigating complex family dynamics. I assist individuals in cultivating self-confidence, self-healing, and self-acceptance. By the end of our first meeting, we will establish clear, manageable steps for our work together so you leave feeling heard, empowered, and equipped with a sense of direction.
