Great to meet you!

I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience supporting youth, young adults and adults facing depression disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, C-PTSD, ADHD, self harm behaviors, suicidal ideations/attempts and poor family/relationship dynamics.

My approach to therapy

Trauma and toxic stress can lead to guilt, anger, feelings of powerlessness, self-harm, acting out, depression and anxiety. These things can manifest as negative thoughts and feelings, emotional numbness, sleep problems, difficulty concentrating and problems within relationships. I understand the resistance in seeking mental health services, particularly among minority communities. So, I thrive on creating strong, positive therapeutic relationships where people feel safe, heard, understood, as well as, empowered to embrace a brighter future.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
