Charis Gaston

I have always been passionate about helping others, and it’s been the driving force in my life for the past 15 years. I've worked as a direct support professional with neurodivergent adults and children, taught independent living skills to college students, assisted the homeless population, and am currently also working as a doula. In addition to therapy, I facilitate Color and Mind-Body Connection workshops, host wellness retreats, create customized crystal packs, and work with oracle cards to promote healing and overall well-being.

As a practitioner, I adopt an eclectic approach in my work with clients. I believe individuals can make changes in their lives with support and guidance. During the initial stages of therapy, I consider all aspects of the client's life, including their unhealthy behaviors, thoughts, past experiences, and potential for change. I use active listening and unconditional positive regard to build a strong rapport with the client and establish a positive therapeutic relationship.

My goal in therapy is to create a positive experience for the client and equip them with the tools and skills necessary to succeed even after the therapeutic relationship has ended.
