Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Charity, a licensed Professional Counselor licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and the owner of The Centered Space. I've worked in the mental health field for over 10 years with a focus on supporting individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges as well as challenges related to parenting and family dynamics. My clinical experience includes helping clients develop greater emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills and work through difficult life experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, genuine and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be completely honest without feeling judged, while also being challenged when necessary. I'm comfortable giving direct and constructive feedback while maintaining empathy and respect. I also believe there is room for humor and lightness in therapy when it is appropriate.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other and creating space where you feel comfortable being yourself. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you've been experiencing and a little bit about your history so I can better understand the bigger picture. We'll also spend some time identifying the things you'd like to work on and the goals that feel most meaningful to you. Most importantly I want you to feel supported, heard and that there is a plan on how we will target your goals.
