Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working in this field.

I began my career in therapy with training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and over the years, I have also integrated various therapeutic techniques into my work including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Systems Theory, a Strengths-Based Perspective and Trauma-Informed Care.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings—ranging from residential treatment centers for at-risk youth to health care facilities focused on behavioral health, crisis interventions, and end-of-life care. I’ve worked with diverse populations, including teenagers, families, adults, and seniors. And through my own journey as a parent, I have also gained a deeper understanding of how to navigate parenting challenges, support children, and work within school systems.

My approach to therapy

I take a compassionate, holistic approach to therapy, combining empathy, deep listening, and practical guidance. I believe that you come to therapy with inherent strengths and my role is to help you recognize and build upon those strengths. With encouragement and support, you can develop the skills necessary to navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. Through my background in social work, I also bring a strong foundation in social justice, which helps me understand and honor the many factors that influence a person’s well-being.

What you can expect from me

I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming. You might be anxious about what to expect, or worry that you won’t be able to connect with your therapist. Perhaps you’re concerned about not seeing the changes you hope for because you struggle with anxiety and depression on a daily basis. These are all areas we can work through together, and I’m here to help make mental health care accessible, relevant, and practical for your everyday life. My goal is to support you in making the changes you desire by offering a space for healing and skill-building. I believe that when a positive therapeutic relationship resonates with clients, it fosters resilience and promotes overall growth.

During our first session together we will work through the intake form to discuss your history, current symptoms and goals for therapy. We will create a treatment plan together and discuss diagnoses.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your therapy journey, I’d be honored to work with you. I look forward to partnering with you as we work together toward healing and growth.
