Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Charlene. Are you needing mental health support? I provide therapy that meets you where you are - whether that's working through grief, trauma, depression, postpartum depression and/or anxiety, or a life that's shifted in unexpected ways.

My approach is person‐centered and trauma‐informed, meaning I support you in taking an active, empowered role in your healing while offering steady guidance and compassionate structure along the way.

As a US and South African citizen, I bring a global, culturally informed perspective to my work and a genuine commitment to an open, non-judgmental space.

My approach to therapy

I offer mental health support across Washington State, working with adults experiencing grief, panic, relationship stress, depression, perinatal mental health, and major life transitions — including career and military life changes. EMDR-certified, with experience supporting queer and questioning young adults navigating trauma and substance use.

What you can expect from me

The first session in clinical mental health counseling will require a lot of history-taking and background information collection as well as administration of some mental health assessments. It is a necessary step and important to establish this collection of information to form the basis of the therapeutic alliance for future treatment in therapy sessions.

If you're a professional who struggles to find therapy that fits around your schedule, I offer flexible after-hours telehealth availability most weekday evenings and every second Saturday and Sunday morning. New clients are welcome, and I include a free 15-minute consultation to start.
