Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Charlene McCauley-Mayfield MA, LPC with 15 years of experience. I am a wife and proud grandmother of two. I have worked with all age ranges and many types of mental health diagnoses. I would describe myself as eclectic both personally and professionally.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am primarily a solution and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapist. My years of experience include working with trauma and complex trauma issues, domestic violence, sexual assault, obsessive- compulsive behaviors, divided family issues, anger, depression and anxiety.

If you are on a quest for personal growth, know that change can take place in anyone’s life who is willing to take the journey. You will discover that your thoughts and feeling are linked to behavior and circumstance.

What you can expect from our first session

The first session is all about information. I will ask for background information along with your most urgent concerns. During our first session, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about my experience and knowledge to ensure we will be able to work together collaboratively. You are the driving factor for change. I have seen some powerful outcomes and feel confident I can assist you on your personal journey as well. Welcome aboard!
