Great to meet you!

When life feels overwhelming, relationships feel strained, or you’re not quite sure how to get things back on track, having the right support can make all the difference. Hi, I’m Charlene, a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a graduate of Texas A&M University. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, and I especially enjoy helping families rebuild relationships, improve communication, and navigate challenges together. I believe every person and every family has their own story, strengths, and needs, so I take the time to understand what is happening before deciding what approach will be most helpful.

My approach to therapy

I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Each person I work with needs a plan that reflects their goals and what they are experiencing. I may use cognitive behavioral therapy or solution-focused therapy, along with person-centered techniques, depending on what fits you best. I like to think of therapy as building a toolbox. Together, we’ll develop different skills and techniques you can use when challenges come up, helping you feel more prepared to handle life, relationships, and difficult emotions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and identifying the areas where you would like to grow. We’ll talk about your goals and what you hope will be different as a result of counseling. From there, we can begin creating a treatment plan around the things that matter most to you. My goal is for therapy to feel collaborative and purposeful, with the tools we develop together helping you move toward greater confidence, healthier relationships, and meaningful change.
