Great to meet you!

My goal is actually pretty simple: I don't want you to stay in counseling longer than you need to. I want you out living your life — being the healthiest version of yourself — and getting you there is what I'm here for.

I've spent 30 years working with people carrying some of the heaviest things life can hand you: trauma, grief, PTSD, and the particular weight that comes with military service, first responder work, or working in healthcare. If you spend your life taking care of other people and have never had a space that's truly yours, this is it. I work in both English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I'm direct — but I come in with warmth, humor, and genuine care, because I know that asking you to open up isn't a small thing. Trust takes time, and I don't rush it.

The tools I use depend on what you need: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, CBT for patterns that are keeping you stuck, DBT for when emotions feel overwhelming, and Gottman-based approaches when relationships are the focus. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all — I adjust how we work to what's actually going to help you move forward.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about you, not paperwork. I want to understand what brought you in, what you've been carrying, and what a better day-to-day life actually looks like for you. By the end, we'll have the beginning of a plan — not a rigid prescription, but a direction we're working toward together. You don't need to have everything figured out before we start.
