Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Charlene Wright, and I began my journey as a therapist five years ago. Since then, I have had the privilege of supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood instability, and trauma. I also work with individuals navigating unhealthy relationships, self-esteem challenges, work-life balance, and other life stressors.

It is my passion to educate and empower individuals to better understand their mental health, recognize how their symptoms may impact their daily lives, and develop healthy strategies to manage those symptoms. I believe that with the right support, understanding, and tools, individuals can create meaningful change and improve their overall quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I have worked in the community mental health sector since 2009. My approach to therapy is rooted in my ability to truly accept and welcome clients without judgment. I strive to be authentic, transparent, and genuine in my work with each person I support. I believe that feeling heard, understood, and accepted is an essential part of the healing process and creates a foundation for meaningful growth and positive change.

My practice is rooted in evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Care, to meet the varying needs of my clients.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I would like to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment as we begin to develop a strong client-therapist relationship. We will explore your concerns and the reasons that brought you to therapy, while also gathering relevant information to better understand your unique experiences and needs. I also value identifying your strengths, resources, and existing coping skills as we establish a foundation for the work we will do together.
