Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Charles (Chad) Discher, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Clinical Director of Burleson Family Counseling. For over a decade, I have had the privilege of helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and build healthier, more meaningful relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative, blending evidence-based techniques with genuine compassion to help client create lasting changed and move towards the life they want to live. I work with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, family conflict and life transition. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel understood, empowered and equipped to make meaningful changes in your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. I'll spend time learning about your concerns, goals, strengths, and the experiences that brought you to counseling. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. By the end of the session, will begin identifying a path forward and discuss how I can best support you in reaching your goals.
