Great to meet you!

Greetings. Treating people with dignity and respect is very important values that I was raised with and that has become a part of my foundation as a skilled professional providing behavioral health services for over 30 years. I have counseled persons of diverse ethnic backgrounds, integrated matters of faith and spirituality, and have effectively provided services to persons who may have been incapacitated, incarcerated, and/or institutionalized in a respectful, non-judgmental manner.

My approach to therapy

I have a very warm, engaging, empathic, interactive posture. During my initial contacts with an individual or family, I introduce myself, share how I view and work with all people, review client rights, and present my personal values and professional frames of reference, i.e., Family Systems, Psycho-Social, Cognitive-Behavioral. My outcome-based approach is goal-directed, strength-based, empowerment-infusing, and assertion-oriented.

What you can expect from me

Individuals, couples, and families will leave sessions feeling heard, listened to, understood, and empowered through a supportive, non-judgmental encouraging human encounter. Moreover, persons will experience an increase in their sense of self-worth, hope, and self-confidence. My aim is for individuals to obtain a clearer sense of where they see themselves going and to become their true self.
