Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am Charles May, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adults navigate unforeseen complexity and stress in their lives. I enjoy the privilege of walking with people on their journeys and seeing the transformations in their lives. I get to celebrate as people can go from a place of doubt and unhealthy beliefs to one of optimism and self-confidence.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My areas of clinical focus are depression and anxiety. I often work with people who exhibit behaviors including social isolation, feelings of helplessness, persistent worry, experimenting with substances and struggling with restlessness or lack of sleep.

What you can expect from our first session

In our first sessions, I will get to know you and what you would like to accomplish in our work together. Next, we fill focus on setting goals and developing healthy coping skills. As we work together, you will learn to become aware of negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond in a more effective way.
