Dr. Charles Meusburger

My preferred model of care is a team-based, you and me approach. It is rooted in trust and respect and the expectation that you are fully engaged and ready to achieve your desired treatment objectives with me as your professional guide. Having been a past medical director for a large healthcare system, detox and addiction recovery programs, and the psychiatrist for a large community mental health service, helped to shape my sensitive interpersonal style and respect for cultural individuality.

My approach begins with a comprehensive clinical evaluation, assistive screening tools, relevant articles specific to your diagnoses, cognitive behavioral therapy, symptom based medications, clinical and emotional support, gene-drug testing if indicated, and other individualized recommendations as relevant to your therapeutic journey. Those experiencing addictions have all of the same resources listed as well as medication-assisted therapy for substance use disorder.

What you can expect from me is attention to your concerns, hour or one-half hour sessions depending on your status and progress. You will receive empathy, respect and sensitivity for you as an individual. What you will NOT get is just a prescription. I do not prescribe meds in place of talking therapy, but they may be in addition to talking therapy as deemed helpful and indicated.
