Great to meet you!

We are living in uncertain times and can all use some support. My clients often say it feels more like talking to someone they trust than sitting with a clinician. I don’t overcomplicate things or confuse you with therapy jargon. We talk in a way that makes sense, feels safe, and gets to the heart of what really matters.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and native New Yorker with a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and over 20 years of experience supporting diverse individuals and families across NYC. My background includes work in various nonprofit social service agencies, child welfare, education, individual/family counseling, training/professional development, healthcare and public service.

As a Latino therapist, I bring lived understanding of the complexities around identity, culture, family dynamics, and systemic pressures. I also support adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, sexuality, identity, family/romantic relationships, stress, burnout, generational trauma, and the uncertainty that often comes with life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I help clients navigate uncertainty, manage stress, and move through life transitions using evidence-based approaches that support emotional regulation and lasting coping skills. I also work with clients exploring race, culture, gender, and sexuality, offering a safe, affirming space grounded in cultural humility and real-world insight.

My style is grounded, collaborative, and practical. I listen closely, offer honest feedback, and give you tools to use between sessions, not just insight during them.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and solution-focused approaches, tailoring sessions to fit your needs. I work with clients to identify and understand negative thought patterns that contribute to distress, helping them develop more balanced ways of thinking.

What you can expect from me

I help people move beyond labels and truly understand themselves and others. Terms like “narcissist,” “gaslighting,” “toxic,” ADHD, and bipolar are often misunderstood or overused. I provide clear, practical insight so you can recognize what’s really going on and build healthier patterns, without relying on labels alone. Whether you're new to therapy or returning, I'm here to help you regulate your emotions, reconnect with your thoughts, body, and sense of self.

Together, we’ll work toward goals that matter to you.
