Professional Credentials & Experience

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working with teens, adults, older adults, and caregivers
  • Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas–Houston
  • My experience includes hospital-based training, community outreach, and years spent supporting individuals facing grief, anxiety, life transitions, identity concerns, and caregiver stress. I also bring more than 15 years of personal caregiver experience, grounding my work in empathy, cultural awareness, and a deep respect for resilience.

Why We’ll Work Well Together

  • You’ll never be expected to rush your story or carry your emotions alone.
  • I offer a calm, judgment-free space where we can explore what you’re feeling, what you’ve been carrying, and what matters most to you.
  • I balance clinical insight with curiosity and compassion, so you receive both support and thoughtful guidance.

If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply and create changes that feel authentic and sustainable, I'm here to walk alongside you. Let's get started.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel steady, respectful, and free of pressure. From our first session, I offer a calm space where you can slow down, explore what you’re feeling, and share your story at a pace that feels safe. My role is to listen closely, reflect honestly, and help you make sense of the patterns, questions, and emotions you’ve been carrying. I use evidence-based tools like CBT to challenge unhelpful thoughts, mindfulness to ground overwhelming moments, and narrative and existential approaches to explore identity, meaning, and change. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, track what’s shifting, and build practical ways to care for your mind and relationships beyond the therapy room. I bring curiosity, compassion, and steady support; so you don’t have to figure everything out on your own, or rush the process of finding relief and balance.

What you can expect from me

What You Can Expect

  • Our first session is a chance for you to get comfortable, share what brings you in, and see how it feels to work together.
  • You can talk about what's been weighing on you or simply describe what you’d like to change, and we’ll explore it without expectations or pressure to disclose more than you want to.
  • I’ll ask questions that help us understand what’s happening beneath the surface and what kind of support would be most useful for you right now.
  • By the end, we’ll have a clear sense of where we’re heading and how we can approach your goals in a way that feels supportive and sustainable.
  • My intention is for you to leave feeling grounded, understood, and hopeful about the work ahead.
