Great to meet you!

My name is Charlotte Cary, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with children and youth ages 4-18 who have experienced trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, grief, self esteem issues, and relationship issues. I have experience working in schools, which helps me understand the experiences youth face on a daily basis. I am currently accepting new clients ages 5-20 years old.

My approach to therapy

When working with clients, I use a strengths-based approach. I make it a priority to ensure my clients feel supported and heard, and that they can trust me. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I work with clients to build skills, knowledge, and tools to overcome obstacles. I believe clients should have control of their therapy journey.

What you can expect from me

It takes a lot of courage and strength to sign up for therapy. I understand some clients might feel worried or shy. During our first session, I want to get to know you, hear about your interests, and hear about what brings you to therapy. Sometimes having a stuffed animal or furry friend helps younger children feel a little more comfortable during the first session. I believe in building a trust-based relationship and going at your pace to ensure you feel comfortable.
