Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Charlotte! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), former high school counselor, and mom of four. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported—without fear of judgment.

I earned my Master of Health Sciences in Mental Health Counseling from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and my bachelor's degree from Loyola University New Orleans. My professional background includes working with adolescents, adults, and families in both school and clinical settings.

I have a particular passion for working with adolescents, women, and parents who may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, parenting stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life.

My approach to therapy is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I don't believe therapy needs to feel overly clinical or intimidating. I want my clients to feel comfortable being themselves, whether that means having difficult conversations, processing emotions, laughing together, or working through challenges at their own pace.

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood. My goal is to help you gain insight, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop practical tools that make a difference in your everyday life.

Whether you're navigating a difficult season or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, I'd be honored to support you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, conversational, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard and understood without judgment.

I don't believe therapy should feel like you're sitting across from someone who has all the answers. I believe it should feel like a genuine conversation where we work together to better understand what you're experiencing, recognize patterns, explore different perspectives, and find practical ways to move forward.

I strive to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can show up exactly as you are. Sometimes that means having difficult conversations, sometimes it means challenging the way you've always thought about something, and sometimes it means finding humor in the middle of life's chaos.

I also believe that insight is important, but so is knowing what to do with it. My goal is for you to leave our sessions not only feeling heard, but also feeling more confident and equipped to navigate challenges in your everyday life.

Above all, I believe therapy is about connection, growth, and helping you recognize that meaningful change is possible.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is really about getting to know you! I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've never been before, so my goal is to help you feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease from the moment we begin.

We'll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you may be experiencing, and what you're hoping to get out of our time together. I'll ask questions to better understand your background, relationships, and experiences, but there's absolutely no pressure to share everything in our first meeting.

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. You can expect warmth, compassion, curiosity, and probably a little humor when appropriate!

Most importantly, you don't need to have everything figured out before walking into our first session. You don't even need to know exactly what you want to work on. We'll figure that out together.

My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about what comes next.
