Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience in providing goal directed solution focused therapy. As a former consumer of therapy, I know first hand how life changing it can be to move through trauma, release grief, overcome anxiety and choose to live a life with confidence and purpose. Taking the first step or maybe the next step in your recovery is an investment in yourself and your life's purpose. I work very hard to be a hope bringer and approach my work in honor to be part of others healing journey.

My approach to therapy

First and foremost, I meet you where you are. Therapy should be a collaborative living process, which is driven by you. I bring to you professional experience in evidence-based practice, including cognitive behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy for depression, prolonged exposure therapy, cognitive processing therapy as well as solution focused therapy. I have a strong pull toward grief and loss recovery as well as difficult life transitions. In regard to addictions, I have recently gained training in problem gambling as well as an extensive history in substance use recovery.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, the main focus will be to work to determine what your goals are for healing. I believe that recovery is possible for everyone, and for some that may be a quick journey and others it may take longer. The key will be that we will focus on what you would like to see different in your life, and work with your strengths, as well as utilize appropriate evidence based treatments to get you to your goals. Recovery is possible for everyone.
