Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. My journey began as a registered nurse in the ICU, and my dedication to expanding access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care led me to pursue advanced practice certification. I am committed to recognizing each patient as a unique individual, and that treatment does not have a one size fits all approach. You will be treated as an individual taking into consideration your personal experiences and past treatment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in mutual respect, active support, and a genuine investment in your personal growth. I strive to create an environment where you feel valued and understood. Building meaningful connections is an essential part of my practice. Safety is my number one priority, and I look forward to working collaboratively with you to help you achieve your goals and enhance your overall well-being.

By creating a non-judgmental atmosphere and actively listening, I am dedicated to delivering comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I believe every individual should be fully informed of all available options and empowered to choose the approach that best aligns with their values, lifestyle and goals. I encourage open and honest discussions, no matter how hard it may be. I utilize my natural ability to identify common interests and connect with individuals, combined with my clinical expertise, to meet individuals where they are in their mental health journey. My goal is to make sure that each individual feels respected and understood. I strive to build communicative, long-lasting relationships, fostering an environment where individuals feel comfortable, open, and supported.

What you can expect from me

Your first session marks the beginning of a meaningful journey toward understanding, healing, and growth. This visit is about creating a safe and welcoming space where you can share your story and what you hope to gain. This will help me create a tailored plan for future sessions.

During your first psychiatric medication management appointment with me, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment. We will take time to get to know each other, with a focus on understanding your primary concerns and what brings you in for care. Together, we will discuss your previous experiences, goals, and any questions you may have. Based on this conversation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and reasonable expectations.

As part of medication management, I provide psychoeducation to ensure you are informed and empowered about your care. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and confident as we work together toward your mental health and wellness. My practice integrates evidence-based medicine with a holistic approach (supporting the whole person-mind, body, and spirit).
