Great to meet you!

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from sunny Florida. I received my doctorate at the University of Florida and also received bachelors degrees in both psychology and nursing. I also performed an internship at the VA working with veterans battling with substance misuse and PTSD.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My personal philosophy is that achieving mental wellbeing is a unique personal journey of self-discovery for each individual, and that it is not our history that defines us, but the choices we make in our present. I believe within every individual there is an inner strength waiting to be awakened and nurtured to take control of their life, their mental health, and ultimately their recovery.

What you can expect from our first session

I have extensive experience treating young adult and adult clients suffering from anxiety and mood disorders and the aftermath of trauma using an integrative treatment approach that pulls from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, existential, and dialectical behavior therapies coupled with medication management where appropriate. I strive to help my clients find peace in their lives by making healthier choices and building healthier relationships with themselves and others.
