Great to meet you!

I have spent my career sitting with people during some of their hardest seasons of life, and I believe deeply in the strength people carry, even when they cannot see it themselves.

My style as a therapist is warm, honest, and collaborative. I am not the kind of therapist who simply listens while you repeat the same story for years. I believe therapy should help you understand yourself more clearly, recognize the patterns that keep you stuck, and develop new ways of responding to life.

I work best with adults who are ready to be active participants in their growth. Many of my clients are capable, responsible people who have spent years taking care of others and are now realizing they need support too. They may be dealing with anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, or the lasting effects of difficult experiences.

With decades of experience as a therapist, I bring a practical and compassionate approach to our work together. I believe healing happens through understanding, connection, and learning new ways to move forward.

If you are looking for a therapist who will meet you with kindness while also encouraging honest reflection and meaningful change, I would be honored to work with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that people make sense when we understand their experiences.

I see therapy as a partnership. Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and life experiences that have shaped who you are today. Rather than focusing only on what is wrong, we look at what has happened, what has helped you survive, and what may no longer be serving you.

My style is warm, thoughtful, and direct. I believe insight is important, but insight alone is not always enough. Therapy should also help you build practical tools, develop healthier ways of responding, strengthen boundaries, and create meaningful change in your daily life.

I draw from trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness, and evidence-based therapies while tailoring our work to your individual needs and goals. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will begin by getting to know each other and talking about what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. We will explore your current concerns, your history, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together.

I believe the first session is about creating a foundation of trust and understanding. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. We will take the time to understand your experiences and identify what matters most to you.

You can expect a conversation that is supportive, thoughtful, and collaborative. I will ask questions to help us understand patterns, challenges, strengths, and goals. We will also discuss what you need from therapy and how we can make our work together meaningful and productive.

My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of the path forward
