Great to meet you!

I'm glad you are interested in my profile. Let me introduce myself. I'm a Licensed Counselor, Christian, and US Army Veteran with years of experience working in community mental health, addiction recovery, and PTSD treatment — both with service members and Veterans through the VA, and with civilians carrying similar weight.

I work primarily with adults — especially men, women, couples, and Veterans navigating PTSD, addiction, marriage challenges, life transitions, and the kind of stress that builds up over years of trying to handle everything alone.

I'm also a Christian counselor, and my faith guides every aspect of my life. The majority of my clients over the years are not Christian, and I have worked well with them, and their needs. I am sensitive to the needs of my clients.

My job is to meet you where you are. You'll find me direct, but warm, solution-focused, humorous. I speak plainly, and not in clinical jargon, if I can help it. .

My approach to therapy

There's no one-size-fits-all way to heal. Every person comes in carrying something different, so I tailor the work to you — what helps, what feels honest, what fits your life.

My style is solution-focused with what I'd call gentle bluntness — I'll tell you what I'm seeing, but I won't lecture.

I bring compassion, curiosity, and the kind of practical directness that comes from years of working with people in some of their hardest seasons: combat trauma, addiction recovery, marriage breakdown, and the slow erosion of feeling stuck.

If faith is part of how you make sense of your life, we can integrate that. If it's not, we won't. The work belongs to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly about listening. I want to hear your story — what brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you'd like to feel differently in your life. I'll respond with empathy, curiosity, and candor.

By the end, we'll start mapping a path forward together. Over time, the goal is for you to gain real tools — better ways to communicate, more clarity about your values, deeper self-awareness, and the kind of grounded confidence that holds up when life gets hard.

One note on fit: my practice is best for ongoing outpatient therapy. If you're currently in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, please contact 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or your nearest ER first — and I'd genuinely welcome the chance to support your ongoing work afterward.
