Great to meet you!

I worked as a behavioral tech in a group home, a residential treatment center, and a hospital crisis stabilization unit. I decided to change my career path after working alongside the clinical director in the group home. My extensive work history has helped me gain an understanding of different cultures and personal challenges while taking an empathetic and supportive approach. I attended Barry University and received a Master of Science in counseling with a dual specialization in marriage and family and mental health counseling. I gained experience as a therapist by working with individuals, children, and families to learn effective tools to manage and overcome behavioral, mental, and emotional issues. I have experience working with dependency, foster care, transitioning to residential treatment, co-parenting, and couples counseling.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based interventions, and strengths-based techniques to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors. Together, we explore patterns that may be affecting your emotional well-being and relationships while identifying your strengths, building practical coping tools, and focusing on solutions that support meaningful and lasting change. My goal is to help you feel more confident, emotionally grounded, and empowered in your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, safe, and heard as we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you’d like to address at your own pace. I’ll also explain the therapy process and answer any questions you may have about working together. Together, we’ll begin identifying strengths, exploring helpful strategies, and creating a path toward meaningful change.
