Great to meet you!

My name is Chelby and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters of Social Work degree from The University of Texas at Austin. I frequently address perinatal mental health concerns, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I specialize in a variety of therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Densensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy for those experiencing PTSD.

My approach to therapy

My highest priority is to create a safe space that allows you to fully explore your innermost thoughts and feelings. I practice from a place of openness and curiosity, without judgment or assumptions. I empower clients to look inward to find acceptance and create change in areas that may be preventing them from a meaningful life. While therapy can focus on major life changes, it can also be beneficial to focus on improving everyday stress that impacts our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

What you can expect from me

Stress can present itself in many ways, causing us to feel disconnected from ourselves and others. It is typical for us to experience feelings of self-doubt. Our thoughts make it difficult for us to cope and achieve fulfillment in our lives. At times we feel overwhelmed and distressed, leading us to resort to unhealthy behaviors. I am here to guide and assist you in implementing the skills to reach your goals and move forward in your life.
