Great to meet you!

I’m Chelsea, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults ages 18 and older.

My background includes experience in adult and adolescent psychiatry, crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatry, and medical settings such as ICU and acute dialysis. I’ve worked as a PMHNP at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and outpatient community care, where I provided psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, and psychotic disorders.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University and am licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky. I value clear communication, thoughtful assessment, and creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe mental health care works best when clients feel actively involved in their treatment and fully understand their options.

I take time to carefully assess symptoms, life stressors, medical history, and past treatment experiences before making recommendations. When medication is part of care, I prioritize thoughtful prescribing, close follow-up, and ongoing adjustment based on how you’re actually feeling—not just checklists or diagnoses.

Above all, I aim to provide care that is practical, respectful, and tailored to each individual’s goals and needs.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation conducted in a supportive, low-pressure environment. We’ll review your mental health history, current concerns, past treatments, medical background, and what you’re hoping to get out of care.

You can expect me to ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and explain things clearly. Together, we’ll discuss next steps and create an initial treatment plan that feels manageable and aligned with your goals. My goal is for you to leave the first appointment feeling understood, informed, and supported.
