Great to meet you!

Here is some helpful information for you to know about me:

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Tarleton State University.

While completing my studies, I worked full-time as a social worker with the local mental health authority in Waco, Texas. This experience grounded me in the realities of the work and gave me the opportunity to support individuals from many different backgrounds. I’ve been working in the mental health field for nine years now.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people navigating a wide range of experiences — from schizophrenia and other serious mental health conditions to substance use concerns. My approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and a belief in meeting people exactly where they are, while gently challenging them when it supports their growth.

Most recently, I have worked extensively with veterans and their families, focusing on post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety. Trauma often brings layers of guilt and shame that can be heavy to carry. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals release those burdens so that life can begin to feel lighter, more manageable, and more hopeful.

It would be an honor to meet with you and learn more about your story. I look forward to walking alongside you in your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Logotherapy. Together, these approaches help us explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also uncovering meaning and purpose in the challenges you’re facing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is simply to get to know you. I’ll ask questions to help me understand your world, your experiences, and the way life unfolds from your perspective. Together, we’ll explore your reactions, responses, and thought patterns in different situations — all without judgment. The focus is on understanding what your day-to-day experience truly feels like. We’ll gather everything you’ve shared so we can create a care plan that feels supportive and personalized for you.

In our continued sessions, we may look at your family tree or even a “friend tree,” depending on which relationships have shaped you most. This helps us see the broader context you’re navigating.

Throughout our work, I tend to ask thoughtful, clarifying questions designed to help you arrive at your own insights and realizations. I communicate directly and will offer gentle challenges when they’re helpful and aligned with your personality and preferences. My aim is always to support your growth with care, respect, and collaboration.
