Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Chelsea! I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. Before becoming a counselor, I was a professional musician and board-certified music therapist. I specialize in trauma and abuse, including complex trauma, domestic violence, dissociation, and religious trauma, and I have a particular interest in neurodivergence, identity, and helping individuals navigate the process of learning new information about their family stories, including unknown parentage. I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and am passionate about thoughtful, evidence-based trauma treatment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and highly individualized. I meet clients where they are, paying close attention to their personality, needs, strengths, and pace rather than expecting everyone to fit the same therapeutic mold. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, and thoughtfully adapt our work to what is most helpful for you.

I believe you are the expert on yourself, and you should have an active voice in shaping your therapy. My role is to listen deeply, offer perspective and tools when they are helpful, and create space for you to discover your own insights. My goal is not for you to depend on me indefinitely, but to help you develop the understanding, skills, and confidence to navigate life with as your own best guide.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to come exactly as you are—there is no need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. I’ll give you space to share what feels important while getting to know you and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and creating a treatment plan that fits your needs, personality, and pace. Therapy with me is individualized and creative, and you’ll have a voice in shaping the process from the very beginning.
